Appreciation

There is a role for the audience in the normal lines, namely answering to the lines with their humming, and in turning points of Girayda. The audience provides the melody on which the lines sung by the performers have to fit. Some members of the audience whistle and hum approval of certain words or lines, whenever they feel like showing their appreciation. Beautiful singing and word combination can also evoke the celebration of the audience.

This celebration is gender divided, where men and women make different sounds that follow the other. Either men or women can initiate the celebration, to which the other group will follow with their particular sounds.
